A Sweet Challenge to Scrapbook

SCRAPBOOK CLUB PROJECT

This is the project that I made for our scrapbook class for February.  I used to scrapbook a couple times a month, and always planned all day scrapbook events with friends.  This is the first time I have done a page in almost a year, but I am turning over a new leaf.  Or, should I say that I am offering a new class?  That was the catalyst that got me back to creating scrapbook pages.  I can't wait to get started again.    For quite a  while I was in a scrapbook club at my friend, Kay's, and that was the only pages I got made for a couple of years.  Now, let's see what this year brings.  My friend, Debby and I have committed to do our scrapbooks, whether somebody joins us or not.  We hope to stir up more interest from our old pals, and get some new friends excited about scrap booking too.  I think the biggest shame is that many people have all of their photos on their computers, and never even get them printed.  Having the photos in a scrapbook allows you to tell the story that goes along with the photos, and have a keepsake that you can share with family and friends.  It's time to give those photos some life again.  You can see Debby's page designs on her blog here.
To get me started, I looked for a couple of challenges for inspiration, and I looked for ideas on some very inspirational blogs. At Just Add Ink's Scrapbook Challenge #14 they suggested that we use Lace and Ephemera, and with a Valentine themed page, that was just what I wanted.  The Pink Elephant Scrapbook Challenge #45 said that I should "Lift It".  That means I should copy something that I have seen.  Since I have spent several days looking about blogs for scrapbook layouts that I like,
Inspiration, creator unknown

I could easily find inspiration that I could "lift", and so I did.  Of course, I end up giving it my own twist, but you can definitely see the relation.  Unfortunately, this is one of those layouts that I saved, and did not keep the name of the designer, and I hope if you recognize it, let me know.  I hope to be much better about recording the creator from now on.  It is not too late to join us on Thursday, Feb. 7 for our Scrapbook Club.  Drop me an email, or leave me a comment, and let me know if you are coming.
Come again, soon.
