Back for another challenge

Image
I was inspired to do another challenge card yesterday, as I needed a little inspiration to get me going.  It was such a beautiful fall day, and the sun was shining, and I was happy just to stay curled up in my chair playing games on my tablet.  I'm bad that way.  It was just so nice to be alone by myself on a Saturday, as the grandkids keep me so busy during the week.  My husband had gone up to our trailer to winterize it, but came home today saying that he'll be going back next weekend, as the weather is supposed to continue to be nice.  I wanted to make up a pack of cards for a friend and I decided to use an autumn theme, as I had all this pretty paper from Motley Monsters DSP that I wanted to play around with.  I kept the card pretty clean and simple, and let the leaf print be my focal point.  I added a sentiment from Trust God stamps that I love.  Each one of us is God's special work of art is what autumn leaves speak to me.  I love i...

Nametags Recyled

Show a little Kindness

Image
I love this stamp set Blooming with Kindness, and I just have not had the opportunity to play with it much.  I have all kinds of ideas, but never seem to get around to making them.  I wanted to make a card for somebody that needs a little hope in their life, and today just seemed like that kind of day.  After the bombing in Boston yesterday, I really seemed to dwell on the fact that what was supposed to be an exciting, fun, joyful day for so many people in Boston to run the marathon, or to cheer on the runners, and it took such a terrible turn.  It is so sad, and my heart goes out to all of the people in Boston, and those who were there for vacations that took such a sad turn.    So, my card today is a card of Hope.  One with bright spring colors to cheer somebody up.  It's peaceful, yet vibrant, and it made me feel good just to make it.  I used the beautiful color palette suggested by the Play Date Cafe's inspirational photos...
