Woohoo Celebration Time

Image
I have another card to share today using Celebration Time and the wonderful Celebration Framelits.  This fast and fun card was a breeze to make with just a few easy stamps on the tag.  The Bundle of Love DSP has a funky print that gives this card a fun flair.   I used the colors from the CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #226 , and the layout from Freshly Made Sketches #291 , and the cute patterned paper will make it eligible for the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #175 .   Hope you enjoy my card, and come back soon so you can see some more cards and other new products.  Mary Alice

Celebration Time for my weekend stamping

Image
It's so much fun to have new stamps and framelits to play with, especially this weekend.  I went up to our camper in Wisconsin for the weekend, and it was so hot and sticky on Friday and Saturday.  I was glad on Saturday when the family all decided to go to the flea market, and I could stay behind, in the air conditioned trailer and stamp.  I popped Momma Mia into the DVD player and stamped away.  (Can you say Glamping?)  What a great way to spend the afternoon.   I pulled out my new Celebration Time with framelits and started to create.  First thing I do is punch out all the framelits to see what they do, and then start creating.  For this card I wanted to keep it clean and simple and just feature one of the cute tags with the set. I chose a simple layout from CAS(E) this sketch #225 , and some fun colors from Color Throwdown #446 .  I wrapped up the weekend with a big storm that knocked the power out for more than 4 hours.  Thank goodness for battery backed up ligh

Happy Birthday Gorgeous Window Box card

My Stampin' Up order is coming tomorrow, and I can hardly wait to play with new products, but this weekend I told myself that I had to take the time to play with some of the "new" things that I bought in the past couple of months and have not used yet.  I know we all buy things that we are excited about, but the occasion to use them just has not come up yet.  This was one of those things.  I bought the Window Box Thinlets, and they have waited patiently for the occasion that I would need a pretty gift box.  Then I started seeing people using the thinlets for creating cards, so I had to give it a try.   I had a challenge to use all five new 2017-18 In Colors on one card for our demonstrator meeting yesterday, and this is the card that I made.  I sponged behind the cut image with Tranquil Tide, Lemon Lime Twist, and Fresh Fig, then I used Berry Burst for the card base and Powder Pink in the flowers.  I wish I had some ribbon to add, but no In Color ribbon until

Fast and Fun Happy Birthday

I wanted to share with you one of the other birthday cards I had made this weekend.  It's not often I make something so fast and simple, but I was dying to try this idea that I had seen someone else use.  They had new Happy Birthday die cut, and they stamped on the white paper after cutting it.  I used the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp on another card, so I tried those flowers for a fun image.  The flowers were small enough that they fit nicely on the delicate die cut.   I found inspiration in a couple places for this card.   Just Add Ink's color challenge #362 was for Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, and Peekaboo Peach.   Hand Stamped Sentiment #265 had a layout that worked for my card, and surprisingly CAS-ual Fridays' challenge 175 was to use patterned paper.   Just Us Girls #396 wants you to use die-cuts. Since it is a birthday card, I will play along at The Paper Players Theme Challenge #347 .  See, they practically made the card for me! I just had to share this fu

Happy Birthday Gorgeous stampin' at the camper

I went to our camper in Wisconsin this weekend with a full list of cards to make.  I have swaps to do for several groups I participate in.  Some had to get done this weekend, but others will get done over time.  I decided to write them down, so I would know what to focus on first.  Twelve cards that need to be in the mail by the 6th, 13 cards for our demonstrator swap on Monday, 42 cards that need to be made for a new catalog swap, one set is nearly done, another is waiting for new stamps to arrive from the new catalog.  Can't wait for Tuesday!  I counted 3 anniversaries, one wedding card, and 14 birthday cards for June.  I am leaving on a long vacation the end of the month, and I have to have my swap cards done before I leave, so another 12 plus 12 birthdays in July. That's 108 cards!  I was overwhelmed to say the least!  So, I really cranked out the cards, and with no wi-fi, there was no chance to CASE, which I seldom do, but with all the cards I have to make this

It's what we've all been waiting for!  Here today for your shopping pleasure. The NEW 2017-18 Catalog I placed my order today, and fun is on it's way!  I had so many things on my wish list, I just wanted it all!  Well, that's not happening right away, but give me time.  First of all, you have got to see the fun bundles we have.  The Birthday Deliver Bundle is such a blast.  I was able to get this with my preorder, and I have been enjoying the fact that I have framelits that cut out the images on the Designer Series Paper that matches the stamp set. So Cool!! The Celebration Time Bundle was the one at the top of my list today.  It just tickled me with the cute little frames and layering pieces.  SWEET!!  You are just going to have to check it out for yourself.  Click on the catalog in the right margin to see the catalog now, then click on the shopping basket in the right margin and you can order 24/7.   Workshops, classes, and individual orders of
