More baby challenges today

I was trying to come up with an idea for another baby card design, and I started to play around with the idea of making a quilt.  I was playing around in my craft room when I got a call from my son last evening asking me to come over to stay with my granddaughter, while he and his wife took the new baby to the hospital.  His bilirubin count was very high, and the doctor that they saw in the afternoon called them late in the evening to tell them she had been watching and waiting for the test results to come back.  She wanted the baby in the hospital for light therapy right away.  It did not come as a big surprise to me, because I have experienced jaundice in every baby that has ever been born into our family.  But, since Grayson is a preemie and just over 5 pounds, it is even more critical the monitor it. So, grandma to the rescue overnight, and baby did so well they released him early this afternoon.  Yeah!  Here's a photo of him laying in the sunshine by the window at home, trying to get some rays :)
So, when I got back to crafting last night I decided to make a quick and simple card with a baby on a quilt.  I made this card in pink and brown for the challenge at Less is More, and so I tried to keep it simple.  This one is also a candidate for the CASology challenge to make a "family" card.  And how about another card for the challenge at Simply Stampin' Challenge for the "baby, baby" card.
Here's a little close up view of the card.  How do you like that baby?  He's a gingerbread boy from Sensational Season stamp set, and I dressed him up with a little DSP and made a blanket all from my retired stock paper.  The greeting is from Sweet Essentials, and this Hello Baby is a greeting I am sure I will use frequently.  I love this set of stamps, cause the font is so cute.  I had to add a ribbon that says I Love You on it, that is a favorite of my granddaughter, Emily.  She uses it in my craft room all the time.  I'll have to come up with some blue paper and ribbon and do a couple for little boys, too.
Sorry, Grayson, this one's not for you :)

Stop back again soon, and check out more fun projects and cards I do.
