Happy New Year 2014 Calendar

 Happy New Year 2014!

I know I'm a little late kicking off the celebration, but at least I have not given up on my resolution to get back to blogging again.  I made this cute little calendar a couple weeks ago, I just have not had time to share it with all of you.  I made the calendars to give to the members of a swap group that I participate in every month through the mail
This month I felt that I really owed them a little extra something nice, because I screwed up big time.
I had gone to New York City to visit my son for Thanksgiving, and I was determined to have my swap cards for December in the mail before I left.  I had started them, but the were not completed before I left, but that was no problem, because I would have a week to get them in the mail, when I got home.  However, on my last day in New York I came down with a very bad cold.  I came home and climbed in bed (after a miserable flight home), and I stayed in bed for days.  I finished up the swap cards on Friday, and I was going to mail them on my way to a craft sale I was selling at on Saturday.  I forgot to drop them off, and they ended up going into a tote box for the day, packed up when I left that night, and put in the trunk of the car.  It was my last sale of the season, and I left those boxes in the trunk until after New Years, when I found the cards I never mailed!  Ugh!!  I could not mail them now that it was January, because they were Christmas cards.  I had just made the cards to swap for January, and I had seen this cute idea for the calendar on LeeAnn Greff's blog, and decided to make them up for my 6th Swap friends.  They were fun, fast and easy, and I made a few more to share with some other special friends.
I just stamped a page for each season, mounted them on all four sides of a standard card, and I connected the bottom with a tab to form an easel that slips behind one of the pages so you can flip it around when you need to.
The Late Night Stampers Challenge 240 was looking for Something New, and I guess a calendar for the new year would fit the bill.  Hope they like it.  Addicted to CAS #30 was using code word: NEW this week, and this new year calendar was my answer to that challenge, too. I have my new calendar right here by my computer to keep track of the dates when the challenges are due.
Thank goodness I have deadlines to meet with the swaps.  I have continued to be sick since Thanksgiving with this cold and cough coming and going.  I have a couple good days, then I revert back to coughing again.  I have tried all the remedies, and can't quite kick it, and this week I am trying some prednisone to see if that will cure it.

Come back soon, and see what else I have been doing.
