Baby, We've Grown and I'm back to tell you about it

Happy New Year everyone!  I am back to blogging, and creating, and it's been a long time since I have been here and a lot has happened.  First of all, I have a new granddaughter, Maya Alice, as of last week, and she makes #5.  I am looking forward to visiting her tomorrow.  I saw her the day she was born for a little bit, and was supposed to be there to watch the delivery, but arrived about 8 minutes after she arrived, much to my disappointment, but I was there for the best part, and that was watching her look at her mother and dad with her big wondering eyes, and the joy in their eyes looking back at her.  Wonderful!
The card I am showing you today is one for I made a few weeks ago for a swap I participated in.  I used the new stamp set Baby, We've Grown, which was the first thing I picked out of the new SU Spring Occasions catalog.  The sweet little owl family just spoke to my heart.  It was the first time I used the Circle Thinlets die to make a card, and I did a modified extention to create an extra flap to the card.  The beautiful new Retro Fresh DSP and Retro Fresh Washi tape were a fun choice for the card, too.
I am sharing the card on a couple of challenges that seemed just right for the occasion.  SUO Challenge #88 was to Use your new toys, and I pulled out all the stops on that one.  The Late Night Stampers's Challenge 240 called for Something New, and the new baby fits the theme for that one.
It feels great to be blogging again, and I have been doing a little creating lately that I would love to share, so come back soon and see what else I have been making.
