The fridge is full

Here is an appetizer, the card I made for our demo swap last week.

I spent last weekend in Milwaukee attending a Stampin' Up! Regional Conference.  And now my refrigerator is full!
I spent the last couple weeks making cards, cards, and more cards.  First I had a card swap at our demo meeting last weekend, and I got some great swaps.
Then we headed off across Wisconsin, a car full of 5 women, with our shoe boxes full of cards.  On Friday night we had a card swap with a group of 16 gals where we each brought our shoebox full of card parts to be assembled.  Each person designed a card for us to make, and we circulated the room from chair to chair making each card, and ending up with a beautiful assortment.  The shoebox swap idea is also the same for a card buffet (which I'll talk more about later).
Saturday we went to the convention center and gathered with hundreds of Stampin' Up! demonstrators, and their guests for a day of fun and learning.  We all started the day with a box full of cards we made to swap, and circulated the room trading with other gals for the cards that they made.  My friends and I all headed out in a different directions, so that we would all get different cards, which we shared and took photos of on the way home in the car!  It was so exciting to see what others made, from the simplest of cards, to fun 3d projects.  Then we sat down to listen to great demonstrations, making our make-and-take projects, and waiting for great gifts to come our ways.  We spent our free time sauntering around the auditorium looking at the wonderful card displays that Stampin' Up! provided, and all the wonderful cards that people brought to share.  Photos were snapped as we oooed and aahhed over all the wonderful ideas, which we all dream of duplicating.  It was overwhelming and delightful.  We also went home with new stamp sets, journals, embellishments, and new friends.
We had a long drive home, so we took the time to pass around our card swaps, and snapping photos of cards we liked (until my battery was exhausted).
So, now that my fridge is stocked with great ideas, I have planned a card buffet, and invited my friends to share the feast.  I have collaborated with my friend, Debby, and we are each making up new containers  filled with cards to be made.  Our friends are invited to come and stamp and assemble the cards of their choosing.  They can make as many cards as they would like, and head back for extra helpings.  We are looking forward to sharing our stockpile of wonderful card and craft ideas.   If things go well, we will restock the buffet again next month, if not, I will freeze the leftovers, and sell them at a craft sale :)
So as I prepare for the buffet this week, I will share some of my recipes with you.
