The birth of a blog

I have always wanted a place to write, to express my creativity. Today is the new beginning. I love to tell stories, and I love to talk in general. I can start a conversation with a complete stranger, and can find a common interest, and could talk forever. I have a story about just about any subject you can name. My family says I have a memory like a steel trap. I always come up with stories about my family, and they all wonder how I remember all the details, and names, and the littlest things. But, I wish I was better about remembering the names of people I just met. I always joke, and say that my brain got filled up a long time ago with birthdays, and recipes, and song lyrics, etc. and that I just don't have room for any new names. I wish I could compact those files, like on the computer. Even my computer's memory is getting full (and it's only dating back to about 1998, and it still works for me).
Well, what prompted me to start this blog is my renewed interest in making cards, greeting cards. I have been an avid crafter all my life. I started making rubber stamped cards back in the early 90's, and put it aside for something else, maybe sewing or beading or painting or scrapbooking. Who knows what I'll do next. Oh, wait, I do. I've just started to learn to knit. I'll tell you how that's going later.
I have joined 2 different card making clubs in the last year, and my friend became a Stampin Up demonstrator, so out came the old stamps, and I bought some new stamps. Then she introduced me to her friend, Kay Kalthoff, who is a very talented lady. I subscribed to Kay's blog, to see her wonderful cards, and from there I discovered a whole new world. I had no idea you could jump from blog to blog with the click of a button. And, I found all these weekly challenges from other blogs that are so wonderful and challenging and inspirational! And, after months of looking on, I decided that it was time to take it to the next level. So, here's my blog, and as soon as I can figure out how to post photos of my work, and figure out how to link these things, and how to type "HERE" and have it link to another blog, I'll be on my way. Oh, and the possibilities are endless. Creative heaven, here I come!!
