Perfect Mix for a birthday card
I had some catching up to do this week with making some birthday cards. So many to do this month, and I got the flu. It's been hard to get into the craft room and play when I feel wiped out most of the time. This week I am starting to feel more like creating, and with 3 birthdays creeping up this week I had to get busy.
As usual, I look for inspiration in the challenge blogs, and I was totally inspired when I saw the colors from Just Us Girls Color Week #389. Who couldn't make up a birthday card with these fun colors. Seize the Birthday Challenge was to USE TWO PATTERNED PAPERS, and the layout at Stamp Ink Paper Challenge #95 was perfect for that idea.
I couldn't wait to play with a stamp set that I won at our demonstrator meeting, and had not had the chance to play with yet, Perfect Mix. It was fun choosing which of the elements I would use. The bowl and mixer are my favorite, and making a cake is top priority, so they made a wonderful birthday card. When I couldn't come up with a birthday cake for the inside that wasn't from a retired stamp set, I decided to make my own from scraps of the paper used from Playful Palette DSP. It worked for me! I sure hope my friend likes the card, and you, too.
I WOULD LOVE TO BE YOUR STAMPIN' UP! DEMONSTRATOR
