Designer Tees, times two, if you please

This is a card that is a compilation of so many things that inspired me.  I wanted to use the Designer Tees stamp set I got from SaleABration.  I loved the sayings, but really wasn't crazy about the idea that they should go on tee shirts.  I just wanted to play with them on cards. The first card I created for a swap that I was doing.  The second card was my first design, but I switched things up for my swap card.  The second card's sentiment was just perfect for a birthday card that I needed to make.  I saw that someone had cut off the happy face and stamped a cascade of them on a card, and I had to try it, and added a birthday greeting inside.

All the hot air balloons from the Carried Away DSP make me smile.  I find it delightful to create with this paper, and it's free from SaleABration with a qualified purchase, too.
Then I saw someone else use the Stitched Framelits to make a quilt design, like I did on my card.  It was a lot of work, as I needed to make a dozen of these cards for a swap I was in.  It required cutting out squares, then I cut them in half diagonally, then put them back into a square to get the stitching on the diagonal cut edge, too.  It was one of those trial and error projects before I came up with a method that worked for me, but once I figured out what I wanted to do, it was so much fun.
I love doing card challenges, so I will share my cards with Stampin Royalty Challenge 363.  Their challenge this week was to use dies, and I sure had fun doing that.  The layout inspiration came from InkSpire Me Challenge #288, but I took the liberty of putting my sentiment in the center.  Over at the SU-Only Challenge 168, they are looking to see what we are making with our SaleABration products.
I can't wait to make some more cards for tomorrow.  It's a beautiful day, and I am ready to play.  Come see what fast and fun card I'll be making next.

PS,  Someone contacted me asking how I did the pinwheel.  I cut the squares using the 1 3/4" Stitched Framelits.  Next I cut those squares diagonally.  If using a directional print, like I did, be sure you are careful which way you cut diagonally.  Notice the two prints were cut in different directions.  The solid color pieces don't matter, as they work in any direction.
Next I used the largest Stitched square, with the cut edge facing up.  I placed the cut diagonal edge against the edge of the square, so that I will get the stitches, but not cut the edge.  I held them in place with a post-it while I ran it through the Big Shot. I found I could only manage to keep 2 in place while I ran them through, 4 was too much.  Hope this helps if you want to give it a try.
