Hey Dad it's your day

It's been driving me crazy that I have not had time to get into my
craft room and create.  I had my basement flood 2 weeks ago, and we had to take out all of the boxes and furniture, and sort through it in the garage.  I have been weeding through 35 years of accumulated junk, and tossing or repacking and labeling the stuff I want to keep.  It's wearing me out, and not my idea of fun at all.  We have been dealing with contractors removing all the wet materials, and contractors bidding to put it all back together.  Looks like it will be a long process, and one we are not looking forward to, except I will have a lovely remodeled basement when it is done.  I am hoping ot include a new craft area and possible classroom space.  I have my craft room upstairs, so none of that was affected, but my sewing room is what took the worst damage.  Thank goodness for plastic totes.  My box arrived on Wednesday from Stampin' Up! with new supplies from the new catalog, and all I had time to do was unpack it, and put my name stickers on things before I put them away (which I have not done, because I am having too much fun fondling them and playing around with ideas).  I have got 4 swap cards that need to be created this weekend, and I am heading to the trailer to do some serious stamping.  I have to be sure to pack everything I could possibly want, and then I can hit the road.
I could not resist sharing with you a card that I created a couple weeks ago in anticipation of Father's day.  Since Father's Day and masculine cards is what they are calling for on several challenges, I decided to share a quick post before I head out of town.  I'll share it on the Paper Player's Challenge 248 and Crafty Boots Challenge
I had seen a card similar to this made with little banners flying above a fence, and I decided that having ties cut with the Baby's Firsts framelits was just right for dad (although dad would never wash his ties, unless he was really dumb).  I had to add some weeds along the fence from Serene Silhouettes, because there always seem to be some weeds along the fence (and I'm sure the came from the neighbor's side).  I colors I chose fit the scheme at CAS on Sunday, so I will share with them, too. I got the cute salutations I used from my May Paper Pumpkin kit.
I am heading out of town for a much needed rest, but I will share with you some of the fun things I make when I return next week.  Stop back and see me then.
