Lovely as a Tree, but not for me!

It is not lovely here in Minnesota today.  It has been sleet, wind and rain all day.  And, I had a day of shopping to do, so I was puddle jumping and wearing a big hat to keep my head dry.  It was not lovely.
I decided that I had to shop today for some shoes for a wedding that I am going to attend next Saturday.  I had bought a cute pair of patent leather sandals (with just 2 straps), and I don't think it's going to be sandal weather here in Minnesota next weekend.  So, I went looking for a new pair of heels, something fun, not sensible (I wore sensible shoes for work for so many years, and now I am retired, and I want FUN shoes).  First store I went to I found cute coral sandals.  My 2 dresses I bought for the 2 wedding events both have little accents of coral, and these would be darling, but make no better sense than the black sandals.  But, I would wear these a lot this summer with other things.  Went to another store (Marshall's), and got these darling patent leather heels with a flower off to one side of the toe, and they are toooooo pretty to be left in a box, so I got them. (and they are made my Sofft, so they are comfy, too).  What do you think?  Should I keep them all??  Maybe?  But, I have to register for Convention this week, and I'm tight for cash :(  Maybe not.
So, back to card making.  I made this card last night, and it reminds me of the beautiful northern lights that we see here in Minnesota, and sometimes way up north they look this bright.  I just knew that this card would melt the heart of any guy that loves northern Minnesota.  It is practically CASED from a card in my file, but I don't know the source it came from.
I used the colors from the challenge at Late Night Stampers Color Challenge to use Summer Starfruit, Raspberry Ripple and Old Olive (I used Garden Green).
I thought I would share it on another fun new challenge site I found called Papercraft Stars, where this week's challenge was to "use stamps".
Before I go, I thought I would share these photos out my craft room window today.  This is Minnesota spring weather.  I commented to my husband when I got home this afternoon that I felt sorry for all the birds that are out there freezing in this weather.  I think they have more to complain about that wearing sandals in this weather.  He just came in to tell me to look out at the driveway at all the robins in the rain, and I could count 12 of them out there hopping in the snow and rain.  Poor birds have no shelter, except for a couple of pines around the neighborhood, and I think the squirrels have nested there already.
Back to the craft room.  Have a nice weekend.
