Easy Event for Baby

I made up some baby cards this week, and I felt like doing something new, so I decided to do a fancy fold card.  Lo, and behold, there was a challenge that was right up my alley.  The Friday Mashup challenge 104 was looking for umbrellas, and a double z-fold card.  I had not made one of these cards before, so it took a little experimenting, but I finally came up with the right formula.
I came up with the colors from a new challenge I found called Runway Inspired Challenge #33.  I loved the pop of yellow on the pastel background.  I knew immediately what I wanted to use.
I decided to do something else I had not done in a long time, and that was to stamp on printed paper, and cut it and layer it over the stamped image.  I used polka dots for the duck and the umbrella and chose a heart background from More Amore DSP, which I thought was sweet for a baby card.  It turned out so cute that I decided to make some up in blue for a boy, and used some retired paper for the Baha Breeze color that I needed.
The greeting inside came from the Stacks of Wishes stamp set, and the duck was from Easy Events.
Now that I have the pattern down, I'd like to make some z-fold cards more often.
I have really had babies on my mind this week with my two little grandbabies to watch this week.  There sure are keeping me on my toes, and not much time for stamping.
