Vintage Verses Birthday
Debby and I are having an Open House next Saturday to show off the new Spring Catalog and SaleABration products, so I am going to hold back on some samples, so my guests will be surprised. I also have to decide what will be my card for Make-n-Take projects on Saturday. I used a stampset called Vintage Verses for the front of my card. I love the sentiment of "Wishing you a day as perfect as you are" for a birthday card, but it could be used for any number of occasions. I was so tickled that it fit perfectly in the Labels Collection Framelits. I used the outside cut from the framelits for the inside of the card. I love the way that looks. Kind of clean and simple, short and sweet for a guys card.
I used a couple of challenges for my inspiration on this project, too. A new challenge blog that I found, Seize the Birthday #2, had a great layout, and called for a masculine birthday card. I love the idea of a challenge blog for just birthday cards. Yeah! Inspired by Stamping Inspiration Challenge #42 had the great color combination that I used for the card to use white, olive green, and blue. Mine was done with paper from Summer Smooches and Gumball Green and Not Quite Navy paper and inks. Friday Mashups challenge 93 was for a birthday card with brads, so I used some small silver brads for trim, and they just hit the nail on the head. And, over at Just Add Ink they have a wonderful blog hop for Big Shot projects, and their challenge this week was to use the Big Shot, and I used the Labels Collection Framelits, and an embossing folder for the background. This was a fun card to make, and I was pleased with my masculine birthday card, because you can just never have enough of those. I think my friends will like this one for a future card buffet.
Thanks for stopping by today, and come back tomorrow and you can check out the new SaleABration products. Yeah!!
