Thanks a ton! and Recover quickly!

Thanks a ton to all the friends who came to our Open House yesterday.  We really enjoyed seeing all of you, and love visiting with everyone.  Everyone seemed to enjoy the Make-N-Take projects we made, and they loved the little Smartee cards that I had made for all of our guests.  We had a lot of laughs.  Debby and I keep saying that we have to get better organized, and do things differently every time we have an event.  I think our friends are getting used to our crazy behavior, and we would blow them away if they walked in the door and we weren't running around looking for something or moaning over something we forgot.  That is part of the problem with doing an event in the party room, instead of our homes, is you don't have all your supplies in another room, or close by.  Sometimes I wish I were an elephant, because an elephant never forgets, and they have a big trunk (so they can carry heavy things, and probably don't have to make as many trips to the car as we do when we pack and unpack all our crafting stuff that we bring for a day, which is usually too much.)
So the card I have for today features an elephant that says "Thanks a ton!", and it comes from the Patterned Occasions stamp set which is available free from the SaleABration line with a qualifying purchase.  I also used the new Honeycomb embossing folder from the new SU Spring catalog, and the printed paper is from Summer Smooches DSP.  I was so tickled to find that I had an old punch from years ago that was the exact size hexagon to fit the Honeycombs.  Yeah!! No cutting necessary, making this card so easy, and you will be seeing alot of honeycombs coming from me.
This second card also used stamp from Patterned Occasions that says "recover rapidly" with the bandaid.  I love the bandaid.  Thought the torn circle idea was really cute.  I saw it on somebody's card, but don't remember where.  Just adds a little whimsy to the card.  I used the Summer Smooches DSP for this card as well.  Inside another couple bandaids and a greeting from Petite Pairs that says "Sending a kiss to make things Better".
I found the card layouts and color challenge at Viva la Verve! weeks 1 and 2 for January and it was especially fun to play with the colors.  The blue, green and orange combination is nothing that I would have come up with, and so it made it even more fun to dig out my paper and come up with something befitting this challenge.  Hope they like it :)  Hope you do, too.  Come back soon.
