Saturday's Craft Sale

My friend, Debby, and I have been so busy crafting for sales every weekend that have been so much fun.  But, to tell you the truth, I'm just about crafted out!
Keeping up with the change of holidays is fun, but it's a lot of work.  That's what the crafter's life is all about I guess.  Making stuff for the holidays.  I have so many ideas, and so little time to get them done.  I try to turn out a project a day, but some of these things take 2 days.
I got behind when I got delayed coming home from my trip to New York.  Hurricane Sandy caused the airport to close, and our flight coming home was delayed 2 days.  That was 2 days I wished I was crafting.
I had a great time visiting with my son and family, but sitting around for days and no place to go, all I kept thinking was "I could be crafting".    Then, to make matters worse, Debby and I have both been hit with a stomach bug that knocked us down for a few days this week.  I'm so glad I am better for the weekend's sale, and Debby, too.
So, before I packed things up today, I decided to snap a few pix to share.

I have been making a bunch of fun little treats, and I thought I'd share a few that I'll have at today's sale.  The turkeys on a stick are my favorite.  I made little rosettes for the tails, and added a googly eyed face, and sandwiched a licorice stick in between.   The little candy dishes you've seen before, but I punched the edges this time and they look so cute, I thought I'd show you.  And, I picked up those pretty autumn colored M&M's and had to think of a project to suit them, so the gingerbread man and candy cane toppers were just the thing.    It sure was fun putting those together :(  Stuffing m&ms is not my thing!
I'm looking forward to a fun sale today.  This one is put on by the county's day care association, which Debby and I were active members of for many years.  We hope we have made some cute little treats for those day care providers to buy for their little kiddies.
Thanks for stopping by, and if you are in the area, stop by the sale at the Mounds View Community Center today.
