Oooover at the open house folks were really having lots of fun!

The gals all enjoyed making this sweet little card at the make-n-take table at our open house last week.  I love this Betsy's Blossom stamp set because of the simple one step stamping, the bold images and it's easy to do.  My friend Renee stopped by and she's never stamped before.  I walked her through the process, and she really was thrilled with the card she made.  She will definitely be coming back to give it a try.

We used the paper from International Bazaar DSP (and everybody loves the exotic prints and bright colors.  Reminds me of a market place in India).  The bird and blossom were stamped in Calypso Coral and Island Indigo and layered on matching papers.  A little ruffled ribbon in Coral and a couple of pearl accents, and the card was fabulous.  There are so many choices in the Petite Pairs stamp set to choose from that fit a little oval accent.  I really use that set a lot.
This is another card I made using the same DSP and the World Treasures stamp set.  Don't you love this peacock?  I sure find this set to be a wonderful accompaniment to this beautiful line of paper.  I know that you can have a bunch of fun with this.  The textured fans in the background look so pretty with the fanned tail of the bird (but I wish I had reversed the paper so the fans were up, but I never noticed it until this photo).
Hope you like these simple but elegant cards, and you have a fantastic day.
