Happy me, happy you

On Wednesday evening I fooled around with the Happy You set of stamps, and did a little coloring, which is always fun.  I found out that due to poor lighting, I did not have great results.  In the light of day, I realized that I do not know how to "stay in the lines" anymore.  I guess I could go back to kindergarten, and start over again, or accept the fact that my eyes are failing, and that my double vision is not condusive to coloring anymore.  I will not let that stop me!  The paper is from the retired DSP Domestic Goddess and Berry Blossoms, accented with Calypso Coral, and some of the stitched 1/4" grograin ribbon  new from SU.
I just love having my little Olivia around this week at the trailer.  Every time she seems me she looks at mom and smiles, like "there's grandma!  what's she doing here?"  She comes to my house for daycare Monday thru Thursday so she is used to seeing me, but seeing me at the campground just seems to throw her off.  Anyway, she was my inspiration for the baby card.  She just loves to play peek a boo, and that's why I love this stamp so much.  I am sure I will use it a lot.
This cute little boot is my other favorite. I guess that forcast of rain last night was my inspiration for this card.  They are also so much fun to color.  I did not have markers to match these colors, so I used my blender pens.  They are so amazing how well they work in place of markers.  Sometimes I think they are more fun to use than markers, because you seem to have more controll over the content and intensity of the ink when using the blender pens.  The markers seem to saturate the colors.  The paper is retired DSP Berry Blossoms, along with Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral, and Wisteria.  A little tie of Calypso Coral ruffle edge ribbon and some pearl accents complete this card.
I had a very enjoyable day with the Happy You stamp set, and hope you enjoyed my cards.  Come back for more!
