God gave us a reason to smile

I really enjoyed stamping cards this past weekend, and can hardly wait to go back up to our trailer tomorrow night to enjoy 5 more days of relaxation, that will be sure to enclude lots of stamping.  I am so glad that I am at home today in the air conditioned comfort of my home.  Today our temp reached 99 degrees, so I decided I better bring my stamps and ink pads in from the trunk of my car.  Sometimes I leave my craft supplies in the card for days between trips here and there to go stamp.  Today I was afraid the heat might wilt them.  My poor husband called me from our little trailer in Wisconsin to tell me that the power was out, and he was not too happy.  He was about to go down and take a dunk in the Apple River that runs through the campgrounds, but the power came back after many hours, so he went in to turn on the airconditioner.  He said that he actually built a fire to cook up the chicken breasts he had marinating that he was afraid would spoil if the power did not come back on today.  Really?! A fire?!  Glad I am not there today.
I am cool as a cucumber sitting here at my computer, watching the 6 o'clock news report that the freeway is buckling from the heat.  Sorry drivers :(
My card is fresh as a daisy too.  This is a new stamp set called Reason to Smile that is a limited edition stamp set available only during the month of July from Stampin' Up!  How can you get one?  Place an order for $50 or more, and you can purchase this set for $5!  It is a two step stamp, which means you can stamp just the simple outline, or add a background color.  I stamped both layers using Rasberry Ripple ink with Summer Starfruit and Gumball Green accents.  You can really keep it clean and simple and fresh as a daisy.  The paper is Summer Smooches DSP and Rose Red and Whisper White.  The sweet little knot on the daisy is Rose Red 1/4" grograin ribbon.
Hope you like my card, and this sweet offer.  Find more promo information here and you can contact me if you want to place an order and get this stamp set Reason to Smile.
Have a great day, and keep coooooooool !
